Our Story
Back in 2014 we wondered if there would be a better way to build walls other than with the traditional Concrete Hollow Block prevalent in the Philippines. The CHB wall is a very old and inefficient system, yet majority of the construction projects in the Philippines still use it up to today. We set out to find a better way. In our first small humble shop in Mandawe, Cebu, together with two Germans who have been here for many years, we started experimenting on a new block adapted to the Philippines from German masonry block practices, thus the Werkhof Block was born. After a little over 2 years, 5 design changes and test application in various types of construction projects, we have achieved a wall system positioned to replace CHB. Our wall system is 3 times stronger, more economical by as much as 30% and faster to build.
